A few things have inspired me to hop on the ole novel revision horse once again.
1. Sarah Miller's doing it. So there's that. Check out her revise-o-meter.
2. I just finished polishing a short story I'm quite proud of at this point and would like to keep the good times rolling.
3. It's been all summer and I've done next to nothing in the way of revisions. In other words. It's time.
4. I'm curious what I'm going to think now that I've had some distance. I'm wondering if it's not as bad as I'm fearing, or if it's worse than I remember.
5. Nothing else is clawing for my attention in the way of ideas.
6. I'm reading and critiquing Ann's novel at the moment, and it's priming my own pump. Thanks Ann!
I may even steal Sarah's revise-o-meter, unless it's patented, of course. :o)

Really? I thought that having to critique my manuscript would be - well, you know - a chore. I'm glad it's priming your pump.
Not at all! It's just taken me a while to dedicate a lot of time to it. I suspect I should finish this week. :o)
