I don't remember the rest of the words to this Mr. Roger's classic, but I am waiting. Yesterday I mailed a grant application for my novel in progress. This looming deadline has been the heart of my motivation for a couple of months, most recently pushing me to finish just one more complete rewrite before I submitted.

So I have to wait several months. I suppose writers need to get used to the waiting, but I suspect (or at least hope) that I'm a better writer than I am a waiter. So let's think of something to do while I'm waiting, shall we? Here are some ideas
